Week 21

The intestines have developed enough that small amounts of sugars can be absorbed from the fluid the baby swallows and will be passed through the digestive system. Almost all of the baby's nourishment, however, still comes from me through the placenta. (Los intestinos se han desarrollado lo suficiente que pequeñas cantidades de azúcar pueden ser absorbidas por el bebe y pasan al sistema digestivo. Casi todos los alimentos del bebe, aun todavía provienen de mi por medio de la placenta).
