Week 30th

Now weighing about 3 pounds and measuring about 10.8 inches, the baby continues to gain weight and layers of fat. (Ahora pesa aproximadamente 3 libras y mide cerca de 10.8 pulgadas, el bebe continua aumentando peso y capas de gordura). Es por eso que estoy tan gorda….;-D

Week 29th

The baby continues to be active, and he has started to give me way too hard punches that have taken my breath away. (El bebe continua siendo activo y ha empezado a darme golpes bien fuertes que a veces me quitan el aire).

Week 28th

The baby now weighs about 2 pounds and measures about 10 inches. At my next prenatal appointment, the Dr. may tell me whether the baby is headfirst or feet- or bottom-first. Babies who are feet first may need to be delivered by cesarean section. The baby still has 2 months to change position. The baby continues to add layers of fat and has continued hair growth. (El bebe pesa aproximadamente 2 libras y mide 10 pulgadas. En mi siguiente cita con el Dr. El me puede decir si el bebe esta en posición para salir o si tiene sus piecitos primero. Si esta con sus piecitos primero pueda que nazca bajo cesaría. Pero el bebe todavía tiene dos meses para cambiar posición. El bebe continúa agregando capas de gordura y su cabello continúa creciendo también).

Week 27th

The baby looks similar to what he will look like at birth, except thinner and smaller. The lungs, liver, and immune system still need to fully mature, but if born now, the baby would have a very good chance of surviving. As hearing continues to develop, the baby may start to recognize voices. Sounds may be unclear, though, because the ears are still covered with vernix, the thick waxy coating that protects the skin from becoming chapped by the amniotic fluid. (El bebe se ve similar a como será cuando nazca, aunque más delgado y pequeño. Los pulmones, hígado, y sistema inmunológico todavía necesitan madurar, pero si nace ahora, el bebe tendrá grandes posibilidades de sobrevivir. El sentido de oír continúa desarrollándose, y pueda que reconozca voces. Los sonidos pueden estar no tan claros, porque sus oídos están todavía cubiertos con una capa cerosa gruesa que protege la piel de que se agriete por el líquido amniotic).

Week 26th

Although the baby's eyes have been sealed shut for the last few months, they will soon open and begin to blink. Eyelashes are growing in, as is more hair on the head. The baby, weighing a little less than 2 pounds, still looks wrinkly but will continue to gain weight steadily over the next 14 weeks until birth. (Aunque los ojos del bebe han estado cerrados por los últimos meses, muy pronto se abrirán. Sus pestañas están creciendo, como hay más cabello en su cabecita.
